I guess I shouldnt be surprised that #1. Ads are rarely removed. #2 advertisers rarely ever return messages, email, or answer phone calls. #3 I really think there are people that put nice items in classifieds with no intention of sell the item. #4 out of the 7 advertisers I tried to contact to purchase from, you would think at least one would be a scam that would return my message or call to take my money. #5 its crazy that even the scammers are to lazy to take my money. Unbelievably!!! Think I will stick to market place ! Its like an old mans cough in the classifieds ads here ( dry and full of dust) can you tell Im frustrated! 😩 |

I've successfully bought a number of things from the Samba Classified over the last 5 years. Responses can take a few days or even a week as many people don't log into The Samba everyday, some only once a week or even fewer times during the summer months. This is the same even for some of the Retailers when they take vacation and don't respond until they return. There is a Buyer and Seller Feedback thread to check to see what other's experience has been with the said Seller. Additionally, many members are getting up there in years and may be members in spirit only or not be healthy enough to log in for extended periods or have forgotten their passwords. |

Ive run across a FEW ads where the item has already been sold. Annoying. But thats the fault of the seller. Maybe theyre avoiding making a contribution to the samba- but just a guess.Sorry but there a lot of asleep at the wheel people out there.Overall Ive had no problems dealing with sellers/buyers. I consider myself lucky to have the classified section available. _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof Contentment; when what you have is what you want. |

I guess it's phone calls because I looked at who you emailed through the site and you've only emailed 2 people this year - 1 in January and 1 in February. Phone calls are weird these days, I swear people prefer or even expect a text instead these days. I'm fine with a text if I list a phone # but:
I NEVER answer the phone unless it's someone I know. I even have my ringer on silent. I think it's normal for a lot of people now? 90% of the time it's spam or a recording anyway It's true that people, usually with cars, are often lazy about removing ads if the car has sold. |

I think the point he is trying to make, is if you have things for sale, then you should be checking in on a regular basis. It's not a perfect world, but if you are taking on the job of selling items, then be a salesperson in addition to your everyday life. Be responsible. If you are on vacation, make a note somewhere. This coming from a business owner. Customer relations is key. _________________ Come on, It's not rocket science. KISS |

Yes, people should be professional, be kind, be prompt... but many are not. Try riding a bicycle on Long Island and you can't get a few miles without someone cutting you off in a 4000 pound weapon. BTW, ads do get deleted if not updated by the user after a few weeks. Member #1009 #BlueSquare עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל חַי |

To be more specific, it's 90 days. Unfortunately some people just let an ad run until it expires, even though it sold.
It's in their email but yes, some people don't check their email very often. I think a lot of people "time warp" these days with everything being instant. I've had people complain to me that a seller hasn't sent them a tracking # or shipped a part... on stuff they bought THAT DAY. |
