Baby Food Dog Treats? Yes, you read that right! Whether you have a little one in the house with leftover baby food, or you want to pick up a couple inexpensive containers from the store to create this simple and yummy treat for your dog they will be wagging a tail of gratitude to you.
These are a great baby food dog cookie treat for older dogs as they are soft and easy to eat but any age from pup to senior will enjoy the taste and texture. Just a simple 2 ingredients, 5 minutes of prep and your done!
No additives or preservatives for your furry best friend. Experiment with different meat and vegetable combos to find one your dog will adore.
Is baby food good for dogs?
Yes! Baby food is highly regulated and healthy. Make sure to stick to baby foods that are safe for dog consumption. Keep it simple!

Baby Food Dog Treats Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
- 2 containers your choice of meat and vegetable combination of baby food
- 1/4-1/2 cup no sodium beef broth (or no sodium chicken broth, as needed)(*optional)
- 1 ½ Tbsp. dried Parsley(*optional)
Note: You can also make these using other flours if your dog is sensitive to wheat flour. You can use oat flour, brown rice flour, coconut flour, chickpea flour, etc.
Baby Food Dog Treats Directions:
1. Pour all ingredients except broth into a small bowl, and mix until thoroughly combined.
2. Add broth a bit at a time, stirring until consistency is slightly sticky and holds together well when molded in your hand.
3. Roll into small ping-pong sized balls, place on a parchment lined or greased cookie sheet, and flatten with your thumb.
4. Bake in an oven preheated to 350° for 15-20 minutes until desired doneness has been reached. Easy!
5. Cool and store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Note: To make baby food soft dog treats you will need to make sure to not over bake them. However, dogs will still love them when they are on the crunchier side, too.
